About the Department

       It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Engineering Mathematics website!
       The Department of Engineering Mathematics was established in 2002, is at Myanmar Maritime University. The Department of Engineering Mathematics is housed in the Building No.5 at Myanmar Maritime University.
       The department comprises the Head of Department which oversees academic and administrative activities in the department, the lecturers and clerk, all of which are professional in the delivery of their respective duties. The department staff are also involved in research related to Engineering Mathematics and other activities about the University’s quality management system

A particular emphasis is given to applicable mathematics, in the sense of utilizing mathematical techniques for applications in problems specific to a developing country.

Aims

The main purpose of the department is to provide engineering undergraduates with the mathematics necessary for their Bachelors of Engineering degree and Nautical Science degree. The department is proud of the strong undergraduate teaching programme, which is continuously in the process of being reviewed and improved.

Quality Objective (Department)

To review and monitor the course after the final examination in every academic year
To give the training concerned with QA, QMS and about Engineering mathematics course for new teaching staff at least twice during current academic year
